I have learned in the last couple months that collareds are my favorite lizards.
These 2 guys are energetic, jumping and climbing all over their cage. They share the setup with a mali uro, a chuck, and a couple leopards, but all live in harmony.
While some may be skeptical of this set up I must assure you that everyone is healthy and basks and eats every day. I think that in the future I will move out the gecos once the collards grow big just in case, but for now everyone is roughly the same size except for the chuck who is the big grampa of the group. There are often at least one collard sitting on his head at a time.
I have actually witnessed the lizards to prefer basking together in groups and the collareds and the uro are always trying to get the chuck to join in their antics, however he seems content to with his simple life of greens and basking.
