TriColors & BiColors...PICS....

uf_g8or May 21, 2006 05:56 PM

Here are a few pictures of my tricolor hognose. Two of them are almost bicolor in that they keep losing more and more of their red color as they mature. When they were born they had quite a bit of red on them but now are almost solid black and white. The other two pics are of my other pair that have retained their coloration. Hoping to have eggs sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Thanks for looking. And sorry the pics aren't the greatest...they wouldn't stay still and it was difficult to keep my flash from washing their color out. Hopefully I can get some better pics soon.

nice pics, and nice animals! it is cool to see that there are more "bicolors" out there. i really like the red/black one with reduced white. if you end up producing any babies from your black/white or your black/red, please let me know--i would definitely be interested in adding another bloodline to my bicolor project.

Thanks,
Kelly

Thanks for the compliments. And yeah I've seen some pics of yours and I have to agree, it's great seeing some more bicolors out there. I would love to see the variation in color somehow be genetic. And I will definitely let you know when I produce offspring from them...hopefully it'll be late this year or early next year. And I hope my true tricolors produce for me soon.

Thanks again!

i plan to breed my "bicolor" this fall or winter as well, so maybe we could do some bloodline trades or something...that would be great. please keep in touch!

Thanks,
