You shouldn't mix species but if your going to you could mix a ground dwelling species like terribiliss(sp?) with imitator which will stay in the uppper part of the tnak but only a experienced dart keeper should mix species even then they can have problems.
I have mixed species together. The problem i ran in to was that some species can interbreed. All i did though was throw out the eggs so that they could not develope.
Although I would not personally mix species that could interbreed, if the tank was large enough I would start considering it more. Trying to put 2 different species in a 10 gallon should never be done, but in a 50-75 gallon tank is a different story.
The larger the tank the more territories can be taken up by each species allowing them to be less stressed.

Hi,
I have heard that you can mix phyllobates with dendrobates like P.vittatus and d.auratus. Why not get frogs that are good in groups like auratus, galactonotus, terribilis,or bicolors?
