Found 3 Crotalus species last week...pic

We were in the Mojave desert going back and forth between the Utah and Nevada border, about 1 hour west from St. George.
We found this C. viridis lutosus (Great Basin Rattler)...as calm a snake as any I've ever found...and around 40 inches long and perfectly flawless...

It was a really nice 40 inch or so Mojave rattler with a green/yellow ground color...

Beautiful!!!

This was the #1 snake on my "gotta-find" list. The only local rattler species that we did not find was a mitchellii (speckled rattler).
