new snakes

just cought 3 new snakes 2 babies and one rather large very gravid femaleall are black with allmost all yellow bottom that rides a good way up the sides.i wish i had a camera to share

>>-----they are just common garter snakes.im from butler pennsylvania.they just have a lotta yellow in them,ive never seen that in garters around here.my smallest is eating tadpoles right now.

If they are Garters they are most likely Eastern Garters. Shorthead Garters do not eat amphibians from what I have read about them. The possession limit for these in Pa is two. That limit also applies to wild caught herps you are using to feed them. Why are you interested in removing a gravid female from the wild? It would be unlawful to sell or barter the babies.

>>-----im sorry i didnt mean to misslead you i dont actually keep them,ive already let them go shortly after posting,and by the new fishing book your only allowed to have 1.i bring them home for the kids keep them for a few days then release(in the same spot.as for the tad poles i breed frogs
