You produce some fine looking babies!!!!!

Getting anxious about the 06's yet? I know I am!! Looking at the females looking so fat and getting into those odd gravid thermoregulating positions. Just last night saw one in the hide box belly up....white sided. This is the time of year I love/hate. I feel like a kid during the last two weeks before Christmas.

Dave,
....Thanks. My gravid ones have me anxious as usual. I think they are mostly gonna lay late this year. I had several that were a little thin in december and january and fattened up in february and seemed like they must have ovulated just as soon as they fattened up. They will probably all lay right after I get home from the Daytona show.
Jeff

I can't wait til mine can produce such beautiful babies. In the meantime I better stick to buying from fine producing breeders.

I'm sure the reason why my snakes haven't made such awesome babies yet is their caretaker's inexperience and lack of fine looking mature breedable adults. Hopefully this will change soon.

I (and Jeff implied it as well) have produced some outstanding animals from average parents. Several of my adult breeders are not DDG (drop dead gorgeous) yet I have produced some very fine animals. IMO the babies will range plus and minus the colors of the adults they come from. Now, as you improve the colors / patterning of the adults so will you improve the average colors / patterning of the babies and that's where I am headed. Actively keeping more babies that display the colors / patterns I want. As they grow up I will sell off my prior breeders. I have enough diversity I'm pretty much able to self sustain my colony now. However, I do have some breeding loans planned and I'm always open for pretty much any DDG baby that comes along!!!!!
