Successfully mated??

hao May 22, 2006 05:38 AM

Hey everyone.
I've been trying to breed my male and female leopard gecko these few days but it was unsuccessful. I tried again just now and the male started vibrating its tail, then bites the female by her tail! He then started doing some weird movements and slowly moving all the way to somewhere near her neck. I then saw this red thing which i believe its the hemipenis caming out from his bottom, i wasn't sure if the mating was successful as i couldn't see if he inserted his hemipenis into the girl's bottom. The final stage only last for less then 10 seconds before the male lets her go, strangely, right after the male release the girl, she poop. The male then started licking his bottoms.

I need to know if they have successfully mated? Should i allow them to mate again in a few days time just incase? Sorry if my english was bad.

=)

sounds like it worked to me! you can let them stay together for 2-3 days and they will for sure do it.
