Question for my fellow Vestigium keepers

PHEve May 22, 2006 09:47 AM

Below is a picture of Zia, female C. bicinctores, (shedding) she is gettingeady for her second clutch. I have a couple eggs incubating for her and Chino my male C. vestigium.

My question to you guys is this, these eggs since they are going to be a cross/hybrids of the 2 species than as far as hatch times I was wondering how long you think they will take?

Since we know vestigium eggs take about 60 something to 70 something days (longer than C. bicinctores, or collaris) then will these just be somewhere inbetween the two time frames?

???? LOL just curious as to what you guys think. I have 3 eggs about a month old but one seems to be getting a bit squishy/soft so I don't know if it will make it.

Shes quite firm again so I may get more. have to see.

Times for eggs to hatch, the way I have it written one may get the idea it takes vestigium 60 or 70 days LONGER than C. collaris or C. bicinctores to hatch.

I did not make myself clear, Instead of the 42 to 60 day range for collaris and bicicntores, the C. vestigium can go a couple weeks longer into the 70ish day ranges.

I'm sure most of you knew what I meant, LOL but if your new ya might have got the wrong idea.
