Felony Animal Cruelty Florida Iguanas

kevinschneider May 22, 2006 09:53 AM

Dear Friends

To those dedicated members of this forum please see latest article on www.bocabeacon.com where the panel members are suggesing trapping the Iguana population of Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island in Florida and then shooting them in the head with a pellet rifle to kill them......this is Felony Animal Cruelty and we need some of the dedicated memebers here to counter the article with a short letter of protest against this method.....the accepted method for trappers in the state of floria to Euthanize the Iguana populations is to capture and put in freezers and they are doing this in the state now....we only need for a few of you to speak for those who cannot by countering this article by accuseing Beverly Furtado and John Bourgoin and Dr Jerome Jackson of Felony Animal Cruelty as they have publicly admitted they have shot the iguanas there and this blunt force trauma to the head is the most humane way of killing them

hope this helps

Where is the article stating this? What address do people write to?

Last I heard, alot of hot air has been spent with no real solutions to the problem.

I'd just send them over to Mexico.

Ctenos are from there too... plus you get to feed a few hungry mouths since they are food as well in some rural areas. Heck, if we sell them we might make a few bucks.
Walls are expensive ye know, hahaha.
