My first snake was a corn. **rolls eyes** since then, i have adopted many others. big things, little things. never been bit by anything in my collection other than a CORN SNAKE! If you go near the cage, she strikes. if you pick her up, she'll spend the whole time youre holding her, chewing on your hands. She eats great, sheds perfectly every time. We've put her in a humungus cage. then a smaller cage, we've tried everything over the last 5 years. what do i do with her? everyone says that they're the best 'starter snakes' but shes always been mean. I handle her constantly and she hasn't tamed down. I have a zillion other things that could easily kill me but they've never bitten. Is there something i can do to tame her down?

I honestly could not tell you what to do after 5 years. it sounds like you have done everything right. Is she posible being underfed? I have a snake that is a garbage disposal. She eats a lot, still tried swallowing my pinky the other night. Think I might have to throw in an extra meal, but that is a milk snake. Do you think mating her would help? i was just thining it might calm her down. I have never heard of a corn snake being aggressive after being so old. Is there any chance she is a hybrid, like a jungle corn (cal king/corn combo)? My Jungle corns kinda have an attitude, but not quite what you described. Can you post a picture of her? That would help, me at least.

yha. let me see if i can get a pic of her. btw- those are beautiful snakes. She is far from underfed. she gets a good size rat every 7 days. sometimes she takes 2. She's a garbage disposal too. we just put her in another new cage. **ugh** She's spoiled rotten, i've tried taking her hide away and she got much much better and then she got much much much worse so i gave her hide back. not sure what to do with that one.... I might try breeding her, haven't thought about that. let me see if i can get a pic. **goes to find gloves**

i have an evil snake too! gertrude....my first snake...except she is about 12-13 yrs old and was never really a nice snake....except now with old age shes gotten worse....soooo i dont really handle her... when i do pick her up out of her cage to clean it....i throw a pillow case over her so i dont get bitten... in just a few seconds one day i was bitten 3 times... twice on the hands and once on my face....so since then i have not handled her much at all. i think its just maybe the past she had....she was a rescue by a vet school in nc and when she was younger she was ok...but my lil brother stopped feeding and watering her so i kinda inherited her....but yeah...theres nothing you can do....except love her for being evil
