this may be a stupid question but here goes
are all poison dart frogs found in lowland rainforest
or are they also found in cloud rainforest?

I have found record in the American Museum of Natural History of various species inhabiting ecosystems from sea level to as high as 3000 meters or almost 10,000 feet.

so would that mean they could be found in the cloud rainforest?

Yes, since mould forests range from about 4400' to 6200' in elevation, some species of dart frogs do inhabit them. I did a search of the web and found references to dart frogs in the cloud forests of Costa Rica, Venezuela, Equador, and Columbia. I know they are found in the cloud forests of Peru as will. If you like try a search using - "cloud forest" dart frogs - and see what comes up. Hope this helps.
That should read "...since cloud forests range from...."
