What the heck?

My Argentine female I think is gravid has been doing something weird. A couple times the last couple days, I have noticed her just sitting there with her mouth open..kind of looked like a yawn, but she is keeping it open for a while? Never noticed a snake do this. I know my beardies would do this sometimes as a method for warming up while basking. Any thoughts?

I don't have a real answer to your observation, all I can say is that in my BRB's what you are describing hasn't ocurred in any of my gravid females. Are you still offering food? Could she be ready for a meal? I assume you don't believe her to be ill in any way and I wouldn't think she is just too hot....sorry, but those are the only ideas I have. Maybe someone will come along shortly with a more appropriate solution.

She is still eating every week.(Jeff said his girl still ate while gravid). I have looked/listened for any signs of respiratory infection.(no gap mouthed breathing, bubbling gurgling, etc.) She just looks REAL uncomfortable. If she isn't gravid, then something is wrong. She is real healthy snake, but she is moving around all the time, laying her head in weird positions, as well as her body.(always assumed this was due to gravidity) Like I said...not all they time, but just noticed it twice recently.
