Nice shot of the kudzu! Looks pretty secluded. Where exactly are you? Calm and peaceful (if you brought the guinea pig with you then calm and peaceful is out of the question-LOL) Enjoy yourself. diane

Have you seen any Jackson's or veileds there yet?

So, where are you in HI?? I lived there for 3 years. On Oahu, in Mililani. Went to high school there. It is beautiful. Unfortunately, at that age, I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would now. Enjoy yourself. Have fun, and be good!!! LOL. You have to post some more pics.

I'm on the Kona side of the big island, at the "Hilton Waikoloa Village." Seems like it's in the 70's all the time. My mom grew up in Oahu and my dad lived there also for a few years when he was young.
So far, no chameleons. I've seen lotsa anoles and sea turtles, but no other reptiles really. One lady we talked to said she sees alot of them in the residential areas in Kona, but none out in the real jungle. I haven't really looked myself much, been too busy with other things here to sneak away.
I'm not sure what island the small group of veileds are on, but I seem to think it's not this one.... The conditions seems perfect for any chameleon species, and there's really nothing that would hunt them down.... I never realized how big the big island is (I've been to Maui and Oahu, but never this one), but I've been in the car several hours on a few occasions, and I was under the impression that none of these islands were this big. I don't wanna go home!
