is this a good source of uvb

Is this a sufficient enough bulb for uvb and uva for my baby veild...what do you guys think?Thanks.

Without specifying a brand name I would be hesitant to purchase. It looks more like a halogen than a MV bulb. They don't look like any of the MV bulbs that I have purchased in the past, but I haven't purchased anything but Mega-Ray for the past 2 years. Most of the other brands just don't hold up. If you decide to use MV UVB, make sure that you protect the hot bulb from vibration (jumping, running kids) and NEVER move it while it is still even warm. The filaments are VERY delicate. Diane

MV bulbs are very "potent" and should be a good distance from your cham (18" or more is recommended). And, as Diane said, no-name brand is not a good idea.
