King Mtn Alterna

chas3323 May 23, 2006 10:12 AM

Hello all. I have a gravid female in her pre egg laying shed right now from a WC X WC pair that I and a friend caught back in September 01. I was just wanting to see if anyone else worked with this local as I am trying to add new blood to the group I already have. I would be willing to trade F-1 offspring for F-1's. This is not a classified add so please don't remove. I can also provide references for those who need verification of locality. On a side note, not including common localities who has clutches coming this year from uncommon places. I have not see any captive born Irran, Boy Scout Road, or Alpine clutches in a while. Just curious. Thank you, Shane D.

i have a gravid CH female Castle Mtn (breed to her sibling) getting ready for her pre-lay shed right now. she should shed in a couple days and lay in about 10 or so days. her mother was caught, while gravid, by Michael Price from San Angelo. shoot me an email if you are interested. Incase you do not know, Castle Mtn is about a stones throw from King Mtn. Many times they are considered one and the same.

the first pic is of the WC female and the next two are of the CH pair, with the lighter snake being the female.

Hey Mike171. I will email you this weekend and maby we can work something out. Thanks for the offer. Really like the Dark male. Does Michael Price still breed alterna? I heard he got out of them to focus on his suboc and crotalus. I do come down to Beeville often so Kingsville is not to far of a drive. Thanks, Shane Dobson

That is Shane!

PS If that land fronts a highway and has electricity it's worth the asking price. If not then no.

He sends me e-mail directly and not through kingsnake, so I have no idea what his kingsnake.com user name is, and the e-mail associated with it. I guess I don't see him post too often, or else I don't pay attention. Thanks for bringing me back to earth!

Thanks Wayne and Joe. Yes its me. I guess I should change my user name now. I got this user name back in 1999 when I first started to read the forums. I was never a poster, just a lurker and didnt want anyone to know all my info, but now I post more so I will probably change it to be more personal. I guess nobody wants to converse with someone who does not give there real name.

Hey Joe do you remember when your nephew Jason and I caught this pair. I was going to take pics for you to put on the alterna page but after seeing your photos, mine dont compare. I am living in San Antonio until the end of August. Want to take the pics for me? I also have a WC north of Dryden and a Panther Canyon if you are interested. Shane Dobson

Sure I'll shoot some pics for you. I'll even split gas with you sometime this summer if you want to make a rocket run. I've got a travel partner for the first week of June, but after that I'm solo.

Jason called me on the cell right before you guys went up there to ask about it, so I remember those snakes well!
