I would not cite it in a journal publication but it was written with entertaining flow. Possibly due to the date.

I think the old Boy Scout Merit treatment is something definitely in need of a disclaimer on the page as well.

But aside from being fairly inaccurate and a tad diluted on the dangers (even by the snake lover’s standards)...it had some solid rationale.
