shedding problem pine snake

rocko5 May 24, 2006 02:32 AM

Hi,

I have a male adult pine snake.
a little while ago he shedded. The skin came off nearly in one piece only the head part seemed to be missing. Being worried about it i took him out several times but i could not see ,any loose skin, anywhere on his body. Two weeks later his eyes went grey again, he went into the moss box that i provided. This morning he has shedded and excactly the same thing, i found the whole skin from the tail.
Only the head part is missing. Absolutely no loose skin on his body.
any ideas how i can help him shed the skin arround his head ?

Many thanks,

Put him in a pillow case with a luke warm damp towel and let him crawl around for a while. The moisture will loosen the skin, and the roughness of the towel will help it come off. Just an idea.
