not eating while shedding

captotterboy May 24, 2006 08:15 AM

I have noticed that charlie does not eat much while he is shedding and becomes much more agressive. Is this normal? He has not eaten this morning or at all yesterday and i think this is why. Am i right? are there other warning signs i should search for that indicate larger not eating problems?

If his shed is taking longer it probably annoys him a bit. Some chams don't eat as much during shedding, but if the shed is quick it won't matter much. Has anything around his cage changed?

Hey,
I caught him eating a little bit this afternoon. He seems to shed in sections. His body shed last week, his face a few days ago, and now his feet. He is extreamly docile, but he does get defensive when he is shedding. Tomorrow he should be done and back to eating everything in site.

Thanks,
Jeff
