Vonnie - Stew update?

purduecg May 24, 2006 02:46 PM

Hey Vonnie!

How is little Stew's eye? How was the vet visit? Everything ok?

Just curious, I hope it is.

sorry i haven't replied sooner. i moved back home for the summer since the people in DC weren't banging down my door and you can make alot of money waiting tables here, haha. i bet i have the most degrees of all the people in that place, haha.

anyway, the vet didn't really know what was wrong with his eye. it wasn't a resp infection or anything, there seemed to be nothing wrong with him and said it would be weird if any parasite was lerking around after over a year of captivity. nothing is coming out of his eye so we are going with an infection under the skin, not necessarily in the eye. i have a topical antibiotic that i put in his eye three times a day and an oral one i give once a day. i am at a friend's house so i don't have the meds but i think the topical begins with a V and the oral is something with a T. i had never heard of either one before. she said to give it two weeks and if the swelling had not gone down then we would try something else, which is ok with me because the vet here is much cheaper than in cali or virginia
