Best colubrid shows in FL or Southeast?

zhivago97 May 24, 2006 07:52 PM

I thought one of the largest shows in the USA happens someplace if FL but don't know which show it is, when and where. Any suggestions about shows worth a drive/flight from Atlanta?

I'm really just looking for a nice weekend destination where I can spend half a day looking at cool colubrids - and a nearby beach would be great too!

Thanks! Tom

You're probably thinking of the large show at Daytona, all the hotels are on the beach for the most part and the actual venue is right across from the ocean as well. I went the past 2 years driving from Texas and I am already booked for this year too, well worth the trip. Tom Stevens

Also called "The Daytona Show", though previously, when it was held in Orlando, it was called (you guessed it) "The Orlando Show". This is the same show Nocturnal Tom mentioned. It happens ever year in August at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, FL. This year it is being held the weekend of August 18-20. From all the reptile shows around Florida, this is the only one worth driving any respectable distance to go to. Check out Reptilebreedersexpo.com
