What should I use as a substrate in a 65 gallon cage?

i use wheat bran in all my adult enclosures, its cheap (10 dollars for a 40 pound bag), it looks good, the dragons love it, i love it, it smells great and i think its the safest particulate substrate you can use. You can get it at feed supply stores.

I use a non slip shelf liner. It's water proof, easy to clean with a damp paper towel, sanitary, reusable, and safe cause no particals can be ingested. If you hit the link in my signature you can see a few dragons on it.

I have been trying just plastic tablecloth as a substrate. It cleans up great and I was able to get a 3'x100' roll of the stuff for about $20. This is enough to last me for a few years as I don't plan to change it more than once a month. My dragon seems to like it and he can move on it alright. Only thing it lacks is the little bit of padding paper towels used to provide...don't know if this is significant or not but just something I noticed.
