What got a lot of us hooked on milks!

RandyWhittington May 25, 2006 12:16 AM

You just cant beat a plain old big 5 + ft clean hondo. I remember years ago seeing a little clean baby tangerine and that was all she wrote baby. Hope y'all dont mind but I got a little trigger happy with the pictures. Happy milking. Later, Randy Whittington

Man o man, excellent shots of some amazing snakes. They're all smoking Randy. I look at pics like these and wonder how anyone could resist Hondurans. Tom Stevens

Thanks Tom. I look forward to somemore milk and pit talk over some adult beverages in daytona again this year. Like we can limit ourselves to just milks and pits. Ha. Later, Randy

You definitely come to mind with Hondos but man I have been talking about getting some Rat snakes for years too and still have not taken the plunge. It is more of a space issue as opposed to prefering another snake...I want to make sure I don't have an angry 7 foot snake on my hands. Where'd that nice tri color Hypo come from??? Tom Stevens

My Hypo from you is doing great. She is getting big and hopefully will be as big as her daddy!

Here she is a while ago I will take some current photos soon!

Glad she is doing well. She should get big as both of her parents are about 5 ft.
To awnser about the snakes below, the extreme is from Dunham and the tricolor from Skipper. Randy

I'm not a big fan of Hondurans... I like the way some of them look, but too pricey for me.

I prefer pueblans and easterns.

I have heard Easterns are some of the most secretive North American milks do you find this to be the case ?

Paul Weaver got me hooked on Hondos. I bought a Knoblochi and a Coastal milk from him, and the coastals are stubborn about eating pinks, so it took awhile for the coastal to be ready. He felt bad about how long it took, so he offered me a Het for Hypo male hondo baby for free. I took his offer, and now I'm hooked. I just recently got a pair of DH hybino from him, and they are doing great. They should breed next spring. He is really a good breeder to deal with. I went to the Daytona Expo last year and picked up a really nice hypo from Dunham. She is no longer black and orange. Her black is now gray. I then got a ghost and hypo pair from Falcon. I am truly hooked. All the breeders I just mentioned are great to deal with, and they are extremely helpful. Derek
