Spot Heads

pfgreaper May 25, 2006 12:42 AM

Was just wondering has anyone produced genetic spot heads. I believe I have a co dom genetic spot head line. Dont mistaken them for vpi's beautiful spotnose. But I had a import male bred to a female and so far one of the hatchlings has a spot head. LOL Guess its a new fun project.

that would be a dom, not co-dom. It can only be co-dom if there is a super form.... that you have to prove, then you can know for sure if it is dom or co-dom, but until then, call it dom.

You can't call it co-dom or dom. after only one breeding , with one offspring showing a trait. I takes at least a few breedings to prove out a trait such as that.I could have been just a chance happening that 1 offspring has the mark, so before you call it genetic, prove it out more.
