Here come the Maryland Eastern babies!

ECC May 25, 2006 08:02 AM

These eggs were laid on 4/4/06. 51 days to the first pip. Last year they started hatching on day 50. Temps were right around 80 degrees. I set them up on Pearlite and packed spaghum moss around the eggs. I moistened the moss and the pearlite when I set them up and then never added water after that. I hope all 16 make it out in the next 2 or 3 days.

Congrats Peter! Many happy hatchings for you. The '05 brooksi I got from you is a thriving gem. Loved the account and photos of your herping trip.

Thanks for posting those and your latest success.

Monty,

Where have you been? LOL.

Glad to hear the snake is good. How about the Okeetee's you picked up from me? Are they doing good as well?

LOL. I've been all over the place. I'll fill you in later.

The Oketee is quite a gorgeous gal. I couldn't be happier with her. She'll be quite a breeder as long as she stays off cigarettes.

Thanks again!
Monty
