MASSIVE breeding projects????????

repzoo44 May 25, 2006 08:34 AM

Whats the largest number of snakes that has been turned out by someone in a given year? Im wondering about balls only AND total number of all snakes by one person or organization. Anyone know? Thanks for playing.

If you are just talking about snakes in general then that would probably be some of the colubrid breeders that turn out thousands of corns, kings and milks. If you were talking about Balls then I'm not sure who would be the largest as some of the larger guys don't publish how many snakes they produce in a year (so it would all be speculation).

God...

He turned out, not in one year, but in one day (day six of creation) enough snakes to populate the world! I don't think Ralphie or the others can match that!

Then again, he did promote massive inbreeding by 1) creating only one man and one woman and 2) sending a great flood that resulted in some bloke saving a pair of every species. So, maybe when people really get their backs up about inbreeding to fix colour/pattern morphs, they should in fact be going to a church and cursing god, lol.

Im done...

There are 2 points to consider:

1 - The genetic problems and degenerations that come from inbreeding, etc. are results of the curse of Adam and Eve's b/c of their disobedience to God. And they were tempted by Satan in the form of a.......SERPENT!

2 - W/O the original sin of them, there would be no genetic mutations...including the morphs! So w/o the fall of man, there would be no ball python market!

Any thoughts on these points?

So, what you are saying is that "God" originally planned for us to get it on with our sisters/mothers/fathers/brothers. However, because "Eve" was a bit naughty he decided to punish us by making the offspring of "Adam and Eve" produce genetic abnormalities when they reproduced with each other.
Ahh!!! Nope, I think thats all fictional nonsense. Just my opinion though.

Oh, and why punish other animals because of a different species wrong doing. So "God" made poor littleWhat did those poor leopard geckos produce leucistics, and albinos because "eve" took a bite of an appple. Poor little guys. They probably didn't know what hit them.

I still believe this religion nonsense promotes incestiouos breedings. You can;t deny it, its in the "bible"

Time for a beer!

Dobzhansky, T. (1973) Nothing in life makes sense except in the light of evolution.

I think Dobzhansky recognizes that life requires an explanation. But is evolution the explanation? The theory of evolution is a package deal. It comes with no eternal life, no eternal love and no eternal redemption.

The Bible teaches that we are created in the image of God. However that image has now been tainted by sin.

Warren_Booth May 26, 2006 09:18 AM

You have to take the bible as factual first, and unfortunatley I do not.

Give me actual evidence of the existance of god and then I will happily believe. Until then, I'll continue with my belief in evolution. I believe with my eyes and the fact that we can study evolutionary relationships with the fossil record and DNA analysis. Not with my insecurities or need for eternal love, enternal life and redemption. I have all the love I need around me with my family and friends.

Embrase diversity. (If you can't do that, then enjoy this picture of a pair of type II anerythristics sonoran boas I produced.)

I am not saying what i do and dont beleive in but in the case of evolution it states in many for instances that things are countinuing to evolve all the time. If this is the truth then why arent there links between us and apes in existance now. If apes are still alive and didnt die out and we are still here then there should be some "inbetween".

Herpquest May 26, 2006 10:50 AM

Perhaps 'we' didn't originate from this planet. In the bible, Jesus is reported to have said, "My kingdom is not of this world". Makes ya think dont it!!! Can you PROVE otherwise??

bpconnection May 26, 2006 11:38 AM

>>You have to take the bible as factual first, and unfortunatley I do not.

You hit the nail on the head. Either the Bible IS factual or it is NOT. It cannot be both. But, everyone has to approach with their own presuppositions.

By FAITH, one can accept the Bible as truth...that a creative God orchestrated all life by his design and command.

By FAITH, one can accept the life began by chance (against what most people will agree are statistically impossible odds).

Either way, there is no PROOF. There is evidence that can be interpreted (usually by your presuppositions), way there is no proof.

The Bible, in Romans chapter 1, says that creation itself testifies to God's existance. The evolutionist would use this same evidence to "prove" evolution. I personally believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible, but I cannot "prove" creationism to someone who doesn't believe the Bible as the word of God.

All this to say, you did hit the nail on the head...

"Until then, I'll continue with my belief in evolution."

I think the two were separated somewhere in our history to begin with(and should not have been)....What i mean is,if god is all powerful, then would he not have the understanding of evolution,genetics,,etc...?

One big breeding program, that naturally culls itself along the way...that's us!....and we aren't even the end result yet. lol

...alright...enough of my madness has leaked onto the net now (,and i had my suspicions that most of us on here were a bit neurotic...now i'm convinced lol)

Hey,

Questions for Evolutionists
by Dr. Kent Hovind

The test of any theory is whether or not it provides answers to basic questions. Some well-meaning but misguided people think evolution is a reasonable theory to explain man’s questions about the universe. Evolution is not a good theory—it is just a pagan religion masquerading as science.

1. Where did the space for the universe come from?

2. Where did matter come from?

3. Where did the laws of the universe come from (gravity, inertia, etc.)?

4. How did matter get so perfectly organized?

5. Where did the energy come from to do all the organizing?

6. When, where, why, and how did life come from dead matter?

7. When, where, why, and how did life learn to reproduce itself?

8. With what did the first cell capable of sexual reproduction reproduce?

9. Why would any plant or animal want to reproduce more of its kind since this would only make more mouths to feed and decrease the chances of survival? (Does the individual have a drive to survive, or the species? How do you explain this?)

10. How can mutations (recombining of the genetic code) create any new, improved varieties? (Recombining English letters will never produce Chinese books.)

11. Is it possible that similarities in design between different animals prove a common Creator instead of a common ancestor?

12. Natural selection only works with the genetic information available and tends only to keep a species stable. How would you explain the increasing complexity in the genetic code that must have occurred if evolution were true?

13. When, where, why, and how did: a) Single-celled plants become multicelled? (Where are the two- and threecelled intermediates?) b) Single-celled animals evolve? c) Fish change to amphibians? d) Amphibians change to reptiles? e) Reptiles change to birds? (The lungs, bones, eyes, reproductive organs, heart, method of locomotion, body covering, etc., are all very different!) How did the intermediate forms live?

14. When, where, why, how, and from what did: a) Whales evolve? b) Sea horses evolve? c) Bats evolve? d) Eyes evolve? e) Ears evolve? f) Hair, skin, feathers, scales, nails, claws, etc., evolve?

15. Which evolved first (how, and how long, did it work without the others)? a) The digestive system, the food to be digested, the appetite, the ability to find and eat the food, the digestive juices, or the body’s resistance to its own digestive juice (stomach, intestines, etc.)? b) The drive to reproduce or the ability to reproduce? c) The lungs, the mucus lining to protect them, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs? d) DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message to cell parts? e) The termite or the flagella in its intestines that actually digest the cellulose? f) The plants or the insects that live on and pollinate the plants? g) The bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or muscles to move the bones? h) The nervous system, repair system, or hormone system? i) The immune system or the need for it?

After you have answered the preceding questions, please look carefully at your answers and thoughtfully consider the following questions.

1. Are you sure your answers are reasonable, right, and scientifically provable, or do you just believe that it may have happened the way you have answered? (Do these answers reflect your religion or your science?)

2. Do your answers show more or less faith than the person who says, "God must have designed it"?

3. Is it possible that an unseen Creator designed this universe?

4. If God is excluded at the beginning of the discussion by your definition of science, how could it be shown that He did create the universe if He did?

5. Is it wise and fair to present the theory of evolution to students as fact?

6. What is the end result of a belief in evolution (lifestyle, society, attitude about others, eternal destiny, etc.)?

7. Do people accept evolution because of the following factors?
It is all they have been taught.
They like the freedom from God (no moral absolutes, etc.).
They are bound to support the theory for fear of losing their job or status or grade point average.
They are too proud to admit they are wrong.
Evolution is the only philosophy that can be used to justify their political agenda.

8. Should we continue to use outdated, disproved, questionable, or inconclusive evidences to support the theory of evolution because we don’t have a suitable substitute (Piltdown man, recapitulation, archaeopteryx, Lucy, Java man, Neanderthal man, horse evolution, vestigial organs, etc.)?

9. Should parents be allowed to require that evolution not be taught as fact in their school system unless equal time is given to other theories of origins (like divine creation)?

10. What are you risking if you are wrong? As one of my debate opponents said, "Either there is a God or there is not. Both possibilities are frightening."

11. Why are many evolutionists afraid of the idea of creationism being presented in public schools? If we are not supposed to teach religion in schools, then why not get evolution out of the textbooks? It is just a religious worldview.

12. Aren’t you tired of faith in a system that cannot be true?

13. Wouldn’t it be great to know the God who made you, and to accept His love and forgiveness?

14. Would you be interested, if I showed you from the Bible, how to have your sins forgiven and how to know for sure that you are going to Heaven? If so, call me.

Yeah where do they think these morphs came from? lol
I wonder if the color morphs started around the same time they began dwarfing in size(if that is what actually happened..they are dwarfs?...right?)

Here have these brain scratchers too

I'm of the opinion that the "apple" was actually red meat.
Look at it this way...it says the snake "told" her...hrmmm we didn't have a language yet!(again, just assumtion)..So then "she" must have witnessed a snake(the only animal that comes to mind that exists nearly everywhere, and eats small animals)consuming a small mammal/etc.
(Scientists now think that it was this addition of protean that jump started our brain growth as a species...IRONIC!)

..and the long number of years that it says Adam lived, were actually misunderstood referance numbers for the time it took for the evolution of man.

The Noah story is a historical record of the wrong occurance. The flood was caused by the melting of the caps, from global warming.Which causes the ice ages this planet has been seeing every so many years(40 to 60 thousand years between).
I'm thinking the story got grapevined to many times before it ever even hit paper(let alone afterwards, with the differences in language etc).

oh and churches are no longer what they started out as either.
The term witnessing, comes from when people gathered weekly to witness what they had seen and been provided of "by the lord".

these days it's mostly just aa for sinners..lol

JMHO :D

Hey,

E-mail me- I'd love to talk to anyone about faith in Christ Jesus. I'm a science teacher who saw that science and the bible march perfectly in step a few years back. I said a bunch of the stuff that was said on this post previously and welcome any discussion about it.

I can't remember reading the word 'snake' in the bible. It says 'Serpent' doesn't it? Perhaps the word 'Serpent' meant something completely different in those days???

repzoo44 May 26, 2006 03:02 PM

Well, this thread got a little off topic, but anyway. Yup, it says serpent. It also says to punish the serpent, the serpent would now be forced to crawl on its stomach, meaning it wasnt before that. Something else to think about.

Someone pointed out on this forum (maybe a year ago) that the Scriptures don't say the serpent had legs, and suggested that rather than it's legs being removed, it might have been more like the Q-bert creature and bounce around like a spring! Who knows!

"a little" ? hehehe

Those are the kinds of ideas i deem worthy of investigation too....I think there is alot of "mis-kept" history in there.Sifting out the truth isn't so simple though.

One last thought here i am compelled to share...
If our species has in fact survived a large number of these ice ages(Noahs story). Then there is also a level of genetic degradation that has taken place, everytime.(It would be a serious knockdown in the size of the breeding colonys genetic diversity.)Which may explain a few things...Like why some of us need corrective lenses, etc etc.Or it could even be the reason that we only utilize such a small percentage of our brains(Are we are ALL retarded?!).
