Update on New bearded Dragon and sick bearded dragon

SoCalSerenity May 19, 2003 07:53 PM

The picture here is of the new one month old bearded dragon (named Hu-Rah). He/she? Is shedding so could be why he is not eating that much but did eat one cricket from my hand today.Raised the temps and seems to be really alert today jumping off his log into the glass and scratching on the glass then going to sleep them running around or moving his head really fast like a little jumping bean lots of energy!!Also he/she does the whole arm waving thing alot this picture is right after the arm started to go down.. Is arm waving only in females? or both?.... The other bearded dragon (sobe) with the calcium problem is speding all day in a screen cage outside being force fed crickets with rep cal powdered supplements, and is actully walking more sorta still wobbiling but holding on when you pick her up and more alert as well

Glad to see he's doin better! the little ones need the basking spot real hot. usually hotter than adults.
this keeps their metabolism moving and kind of a "rhythm"
when they are younger o they can eat, bask ,poop and all over again. i would kee the b spot about 110 deg. but make sure they always have fresh veggies and maybe some water ( i dont but some prefer it) so they dont get dehydrated. also keep it bright good luck

peace
