OT: Update on the Eagle

Nisa May 25, 2006 02:45 PM

Turns out that the Eagle was a she. She was released today. It was a wonderful sight to see her fly. They think some Red-Tails beat her up and she needed some time to recoup. The people at the wildlife refuge will be keeping a eye out for her to make sure she does well.

I also had to overnight two baby Kestrals. I'll try and share the pics of all of them when I can.

This was the good part. Not everything is this good. Me doing this comes from being willing to drive long distances to pick up and drop off injured birds and not expect a dime from it. I'm lucky that the rehab here is willing to let me see them treating the birds and some releases.
