2006 "STRYPO" Red Milks

snakeyes May 25, 2006 05:55 PM

Here are a couple of pictures of this years Hypo Syspila. As you can see the "Strypo" reds have arrived. These are my keepers. Out of a clutch of 11 I hatched 10 and 6 of them have some striping and or fused saddles. I thought some of you milkmen would like to take a peek. Enjoy..

Those are amazing animals, very nice.
Are those pure Syspila? Where did the striped genetics come from. I knew of the striped Temperalis but didn't know of the any striped Syspila. Very cool snakes.

Yes, they are pure hypo syspila from adults produced by Steve Emerick. As far as i know the stripe gene produced here is the first instance of this recessive trait in syspila. Last years clutch produced 4 gorgeous animals and none of them showed any striping at all.The parents are two beautiful specimans. The male is a type animal with out any aberrations. The female has a small fusing of 2 saddles. Here are a couple more pics of two partilly striped from the same clutch.

Snakeyes Congratulations, those sibs are, "honestly mate i am speachless".

Another thing, a few months ago i saw a hybrid for sale the guy called it a painted king or milk and i thought wow thats really nice, not being into hybrids i walked away but couldnt stop thinking how beautifull it was.
He wanted $470 for it.
well who the hell needs hybrids when pure's like yours make the painted thing look drab.

Thanks for sharing those photos.

Abe.

Snakeeyes,

Very nice animals.

As an FYI, Tom Stamatin produced striped syspila from the Blody hypos about 7 or 8 years back. He is no longer working with them though and I'm not certain who is. I believe Brian Mason also produced some stripes from the same founder stock.

snakeyes May 28, 2006 08:36 PM

Thanks for the background info. My understanding is that all the hypo syspila originate with Blody so it would stand to reason if stripes were produced from this line it could happen again. I personally have never seen them offered for sale and assumed it was a first. Thanks for the compliment on them as well.

Only 2 Deptula's that would have that knowledge, one's retired and the other has been MIA for a while. Would you drop me a line sometime?? Thanx, Jeff Jis97@aol.com

Thats really cool, that they are pure and the triad patterns totaly resembol the hypo bloodline.
Congrats on the beautiful critters.
