Stuzzi May 26, 2006 03:16 AM

I think i fed my boa a rat a bit too big for. he took it down fine and was not too active for a couple days then had a large bowel movment couple days later (brutal). then he was decently active (basking, soaking ect). then i tried to feed him tonight, a week later! i have never seen him refuse food or even not eat it is within 5 seconds of being in the tank. any suggestions or advice would be apreciated thanks.

it is not uncommon for a snake to refuse food after it has been overfed (whether it be quantity or size wise). try again next week.

It's also possible that the snake's going into a shed cycle and refusing food.

I thought of that but i doubt it because it wasn't too long ago that he shed last.
