Sonoran eggs are on the ground!

Jeremy Pierce May 26, 2006 05:56 AM

I had my first albino sonoran of two lay her eggs. She was bred with the Maricopa Green Sonoran in the pic. I have two of the green males and bred them each to an albino female. The other female should drop in a week or so. The eggs look great and I can't wait to see some baby sono's. I should be able to tell if some of the babies will develope some green, as my green adults were very different looking babies. I'm hoping some of that green transfers to their young. I love this time of year! Take care all!

Hello Jason! I have been good and you. It has been busy around here with the two kids, building swings sets and all of that good stuff.

The pair of green sonorans that I had turned out to be two males (needless to say I was a little disappointed but that kind of stuff happens). I have a line on a female or two this year from the original breeder. I would have had one last year however I guess the pair failed to produce fertile eggs last year. I thought that in the mean time it might be kind of neat to try and get a lime green albino. It is several generations away but seems like a fun project anyway. The eggs look great and I can't wait to see what comes out.

What are you doing new and exiting this year? Take care Jason!

Jeremy
