Egg binding, feeding drymarchon, etc.

Hi All,
I just wanted to offer to share my experience with any beginners having drymarchon problems. I don't know it all, but I breed Easterns every year and so far I've had no problems. My information comes from listening to people like Robert Seib, and Rob Carmichael and Doug Taylor and pioneers like John Brunner. I've melded it all together and I know what works.
I don't come here much because I can't take the Forum Gods and the nit-wits who give out erroneous information.
I have a crappy attitude, I know, but only here. I'm actually friendly and enthusiastic by email at home.
If you want to talk, just email me. I can't take reading some of this "advice" you new guys are getting but I can't take getting into it here, either. My personality flaw, I admit.
Just my offer. No biggie.
Steve B.

I guess that means any advice posted by Dr. G, Dean A., Fred A. or myself is coming from nit-wits and likened to absent minded feebleness. ;0)
It has been my experience that when mis-information is posted here, there are always several knowledgeable folks willing to step up to the plate and acknowledge such. not only those listed to the prior post..

Best regards,

Jeff

he has been extremely helpful and polite in the times I have e-mailed him with questions. For those of us with less experience with the drymarchon ssp., this forum is an invaluable resource. And while it is true that not everyone always agrees on every aspect of raising them, I think that most of us can appreciate the wealth of information that we find here. Sure, there are a few wacky ideas out there, but sometimes you need those for the rare time your prized indigo may not respond to conventional wisdom! If asking what seem like, to others, simple questions makes me seem "less smart than the animal I own", at least my intentions should be respected. Thanks again to those who take the time to try to help.

I completely agree with you and I know Steve harbors a good deal of knowledge regading Drymarchon husbandry. However, I feel as though his post was distasteful and completely uncalled for…

Best regards,

Jeff

I don't post on forums very often because I realize that no matter how much success one has, there are always others that know far more. Ego is a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.
I must say, I find it quite entertaining when the true nit-wits emerge long enough to show their arse end to everyone.

Good stuff!
