Turtle health water treatment?

demunchkin Jul 31, 2003 01:07 PM

Has anyone else seen this water treatment thing that Walmart carries? It looks like a little white turtle. It is supposed to dissolve slowly in the water and kill e.coli, strep, staph, and many other diseases that turtles can carry.

Does anyone have any additional info or have tried it?

Thanks,
Devin

YES!!! I have used them ever since my RES were babies. I just drop them into the tank and once I notice they are gone, I drop in another one. They cant hurt! My turtles even nibble on them a tad - no biggie, wont hurt them either. They have phosphates and other minerals that can help keep them healthy as well as fighting common diseases that turtles can carry. I wont have a tank without one of these in them! I firmly believe that they help keep the turtles healthy. Mine are!

Good luck!
