Ok, now im worried. Not eating

captotterboy May 26, 2006 03:00 PM

Ok, It has been a while since i have seen charlie eat anything. A few days ago i fed him a wax worm, but he wouldnt eat more than that. the day before i fed him a superworm, but again, not more than that. The last few days he hasnt seemed like he has been eating anything. Not crickets, mealworms, superworms, phonix worm flies, waxworms, wax moths, not anything. I have noticed an increase in the bit marks in the umbrella tree. There havnt been any environmental changes, and he hasnt appeared to be under alot of stress. he has been unusually defensive. He did leave a healthy looking dropping yesterday, but i dont know what he is eating. normally he is a pig.

HELP!!!!!!!!

thanks,
jeff

often (not always) chewing on plants shows a need for more water. Does he seem well hydrated? Have you tried offering him veggies yet? I used to put cherry tomatoes in the middle of the scheff leaves. They would balance right in the middle and she would pick them off! Out grew them but loved strawberries and raw butternut squash.

Hey,
Usually i offer him some thawed kale, but i will try the strawberries or the tomatoe. For hydration i have been doing a heavy mist morning and afternoon, along with a drip bottle every other day. He is still just as active and alert, and doesn tlook like he is loosing weight. This morning his dropping was a good color, but a little liquidy.

What do i do? Anything?

Jeff
