Rep. Warren Triche shocked the Senate Natural Resource Committee by telling them that the bill's author, Pinkney Wood, was not present and that he(Triche) didn't know anything about the bill and did't care anything about it. He then asked for a deferral until June 1. Triche was visably upset that there were about 20 people present that opposed the bill and had commented outside the chambers that he "wasn't going to face all those people by myself". PIJAC and the LGCHS are asking that we have at least twice as many people on June 1 as we had on May 27.
