can i safely move toad eggs?

weirdalison May 27, 2006 12:52 PM

a toad laid a bunch of eggs in a pool that i was going to use for my turtles in the summer. i don't want to put the turtles in there and have them eat all of those eggs. i have several aquariums and i was wondering if i could move the eggs into a new container without killing them. or should i just wait for them to hatch and then move the tadpoles? until i find a way to save the tadpoles, the turtles are going to have to stay inside.

i would lean more towards letting them hatch and moving the tadpoles. I've never moved eggs before so i dont have a clue there. There might be some info about it in a frog/toad book but I don't know. I do know that you can get some tiny nets that the tadpoles cant get through and then put the tads in a tank....
