Was going to upper Pandale midweek, but heard about light rain on 2400 from a friend via a cell phone (a semi-famous herper/weatherman). Puddles were, sure enough, on the road when we got there. Few snakes - three atrox, one night snake on 2400; a DOR longnose on 349, an elk, and an emory's in "downtown" Sheffield. Next morning a 4-5 bull snake in Irion County. Here's a pic of the elk.
