This gecko seemed healthy for many years, but he was getting old. When he had just passed away, I thought I'd give my monitor an interesting meal. He eats mostly pre-killed rodents, and took a few minutes to figure out what to do with the gecko, and a few more minutes to eat it. I know monitors will eat almost anything . . . has anyone else fed anything unusal to their monitors?

I know most of you can find the humor and herpetology in this, but let me just mention this one more time to appease the LEO crowd:

I was not trying to be mean or offensive. This gecko lived a very good long life of bugs, vitamins, warmth, and hiding caves. She was only fed to the monitor AFTER she had recently passed away from old age. (For musical explaination, listen to "Circle of Life" song on Lion King soundtrack).

Usually my monitor eats frozen/thawed rodents or bugs, but I saved 10% on my car insurance by switching to gecko.

1.3 leo's seemed to disappeared at my house. I don't think the monitors I was keeping at the time befriended them LOL.
