my baby albino burmese sumhow got mites..are they deadly? i saw 1 moving on his head and i see them are his eyes inside that little eye patch thingy...wut can i do about this? does he need to b taken to the vet or can i treat it my self, also is it deadly?if it is deadly how long does it take to kill him, and wut are side affects that i need ot no of that are important....none of my animals ever had mites b4 that is y i am panicking..plz help me..

get some prevent-a-mite and treat all your cages. that will get rid of your mite problem. you might even want to spray the room your animals are in.

my animals are in my room..would prevent-a-mite affect me, and also do mites affect me?..o and sumthing else i went to the pet store today and asked the guy about mites he sed let my burmese sit in about 1-2 inches of water over nite that has vegtable oil in it tghen in the morning the mites will b lose and will fall rite off off wsen i rub him down to dry my snake off...is this ttrue???? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

That will kill the mites on your snake, but not the mites and eggs left in the enclosure. If you clean out your enclosure really well, it might be ok, but if you have other snakes they might already have mites. The spray is bad for any inverts you may keep, but is ok for vertebrates generally. I'd be careful if you keep birds though. The mites don't bite humans.
