First Super Motleys of 06???

PBM May 27, 2006 10:00 PM

First off...sorry for the pic, camera is at work, so I had a friend snap a couple pics for me. Well, James and I finally got to see which father did the job! In the beginning, I thought it would be fun to mix things up and breed a ghost male to a female motley. After talking about things more, our goal turned toward Supers. The Ghost had been breeding the female, and one day I was able to palpate follicles on her, so I decided to place the motley male with her....hoping the Ghost had only served to stimulate the female and not actually finished the job. So, both males had been seen locked up, so in reality, everything was in question until Friday. After we had our stillborn hypo motleys, I was almost rooting for the Ghost. After seeing the Supers though, we're more than happy with the way things turned out. These seem to have a different color than the other Supers we've seen so far, but we'll have to see what happens after their first sheds. Thanks for taking a look, hope everyone continues having a great year, and have a Great Memorial Day!!!!!!!!!!! Take care

That is fantastic! Congratulations on the Super Motleys! How many did you end up producing in the litter? Those are Colombian Motleys right (I know you guys work with CA Motleys too). I like how purple the one in the photo is and can't wait to see more pictures of them!! Also, that Motley head next to the Super has a pretty cool head pattern!

Thanks,
Celia

Congrats... I know the feeling, and it is an incredible site to see. I am sure all Supers are going to vary from one to another. They vary a lot more as they age too. Congrats on a Beautiful litter. Jeremy Stone

It's definitely exciting, and we can't wait to see some of these guys/gals after a couple sheds. Celia...these are from our CA line animals. Personally though I think the pattern/look of these Motleys is very similar to the Colombians. Maybe we can make the best out of the situation and end up with a better looking motley that still remains on the smaller side. As for what was in the litter, I'd rather wait until everyone has shed and fed a couple times before saying....don't want to curse anything-LOL! Thanks again everybody, hope you all had a great Memorial Day. We spent ours riding motorcycles all day, after racing yesterday, so I think it's time to go pass out now-LOL! Take care
