Golden corn finally lays eggs...(Update)

BlueKing May 27, 2006 11:34 PM

It took her four days (22-25 May) . . .18 in all - 5 more than last year, but 5-6 appear to be slugs. There may be a couple more than that, but I'm not sure yet. I tried breeding (her) to her 2 foot long son, but it didn't work out. So doing that may have caused me to miss the "window" partially since I DID introduce a GOOD fertile male about a month later. This probably accounts for some small eggs, large eggs and slugs all in the same clutch. We'll just have to wait and see how many hatch this year. . .
