Neodesha/Vision Tortoise Tubs???

Will A. May 28, 2006 08:41 PM

Does anyone know who carries these? I'd love to pick some of these up but can't find them. Thanks in advance.

You might email them for a distributor in your area. I'd like to get some myself. They are very stout and should last a lifetime.

Hi Will,

Some years ago, Neodesha Plastics got out of the reptile caging business. Hence, any Neodesha Tortoise Tubs you could buy would be from private people selling off their items. Someone in FL bought the rights to make the cages a couple of years back, but I do not think the tortoise tubs were included in that deal due to low demand. If anyone knows differently, please do let me know.

On the other hand, you can still purchase new Vision tubs (3 sizes are available). Go to www.visioncages.com to see the selection. Additionally, there is a fellow in Waterford, NY who is the eastern distributor for Vision (CA based), and he used to attend the White Plains Reptile Expo regularly. He was always willing to bring whatever was ordered to that show to save buyers on shipping costs. This would be very convenient for you. His name as I recall is Ray Locken. Here is a link to his web site: www.rlreptiles.com

His show schedule shows him going to White Plains July 9th and September 10th.

Good luck. As usual, your hatchling photos are lovely!

Do you know of a Vision distributor in the Southeast, or is picking them up in Daytona in August the only alternative to expensive shipping? Anyone in Atlanta stocking - or ordering - them? Florida? With Dr. Z and Ed both being new Georgians, some local dealer should know he's got to get into the tort supply business!

considering that I'm using these for desert type tortoises that cost outweighs the benefit for me. The sizes don't allow me to maximize the space I'd like to use.

Now if they have a bunch left over at Daytona and they don't want to haul them back and they are willing to let them go at a better price I might rethink my position.
