I'm from Columbia, Missouri, and I've found a couple of red milks this year, usually very early in the morning, underneath tin or rotten wood, that's when I've found them anyway. Try out near Wooldridge, Missouri, that's where I find them.

ahh columbia...i got a few friends there but thats like a 3 hour drive for me, i live in the Rolla/St.James area...about 80 miles from st.louis. I really want to get one of these elusive snakes.

But really I'm really interested in is a female speckled king. Awhile back I had captured a pair of them while they were mating, the female got away and I got the male. It was a rescue mission because they were about to burn all of the foliage from the backside of the dam where I live. He was the only thing I saved that day, Im sure a few herps lost thier homes/lives. Right now he is the nicest snake in the world. I have no desire to re-release him back in the wild because everyone around here kills snakes for fun, luckily i havent caught anyone in the act...

anyway im rambling thanks for the tips, I might be at the st.louis show june 4th(I believe), maybe ill see ya there :D later
