Contrary to alot of popular opinion, ball pythons can and will breed almost anytime. I have had clutches laid in February through October. Males will breed females (that will let them) that have already ovulated, but as I am sure you know that once ovulation has occurred, breeding is of no value. I also have what I call "professional breeders" that seem to know when a female has already ovulated, or will not go and won't try to breed, but as soon as you throw them in with another ripe female they go right to town.
