Nice! Congrats on your clutches.

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper stored up acorns for winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched tv. And then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus stole all his acorns, and he got a race car. Is any of this sinking in?
Congrats Randy, I just took a few pictures of my Cape clutch, she laid 9 eggs (2 look a little small) on Saturday morning. I don't have them out of my camera yet but hope to post them here soon. Really good looking cape you have there, good luck with all the eggs!

NIIIIIIIIIIICE! Do you find these need any special attention as compared to other Pits as far as getting eggs? I love these snakes and wonder why there are not more of them available, the color is incredible. Great job, Tom Stevens

Tom I always keep them pretty dry and make sure they can ALWAYS get to temps in the low 70's while still keeping a warm spot in the low 80's. Everything else I do is average for pits I guess. The females have bred after their first post brumation sheds. I'm like you and have been suprised at how uncommon they are and how unfrequently you see babies in the hobby for sale. They are really beautiful snakes. I am trying to do my share and I'm breeding 3 females this year.
Gregg is that clutch you just had related to that albino projct in any way. I would still love to get into that at some point. Later, Randy Whittington

Hello Randy,
That clutch is part of the albino project, should get some albinos as well as hets next year too. Good luck with that clutch and any time you want in on that project just shoot me an e-mail.
Have a good weekend Randy,
Gregg
