Last week (05/22/2006) 4 of my 6 eggs (laid 05/15/2006) began to dent. The temperature in the container has hovered around 88-90. The humidity in the container has been around 90-95. The humidity in the incubator (Natures Spirit)is around 80. I candled 5 of the 6 eggs and they showed veins. I am using a sterilite 6q container with a 1/8 inch hole on both ends of the container. I have 1.5 inches of granulated vermiculite damp with a light grid spacer between the verm and the eggs (the eggs do not touch the verm). I have a 6 gt container with lid off on the bottom shelf with an inch of water.
What could be going on?
I am afraid to put more water in the verm with the humidity at 95 already.
PS. This is my first clutch ever.
Thanks,
Gary
