length of breeding season?

joshhutto May 29, 2006 07:38 PM

It's amazing how long the breeding season actually can be. I was checking on a few snakes today and found one female ovulating. This female has consistantly been a late breeder as she had a clutch last year that hatched after daytona and she looks like she is heading that way again this year. I also was doing some weights today and found I had a female that has passed the 1500g mark and put her in with my spider male. They were locked up within 1 hour of introduction. The pic is at a terrible angle but I didn't want to move them around. Best of luck to everyone out there.

If you are like me in S Florida, we get a late start, but they seem to breed longer...I just had a female ovulate last week. Most of my males are still looking for the ladies but I have run out of ones that have enough size to breed...
