18 Eggs in the Incubator

APLAXAR May 29, 2006 08:36 PM

hey all,

my snow female just laid 18 eggs, she was bred to a striped sunglow, anyway when removing the eggs she rolled a few and moved a few, i know there are different schools of thought on this, any advise other than candle them if they dont show signs of going bad? or do you think it might not be a problem, any they all look great.

thanks
Adam

from my understanding, even if you believe that rotating the eggs can cause death, the first few hours, the eggs have to be able to change possition. I mean come on, what snake can lay all her eggs and not distur the first ones at least a little. Someone else posted on here that their whole incubator got tossed weeks into the incubation and all hatched fine. I would not worry about it.
Trust me, I had the same worries at the beginning, asked similar questions, just a few months ago!
Congrats on the eggs by the way.
