ohhhh Wow, great photo! Yeah no doubt that poor young collared had some very nice marking on him. R.I.P. lil guy.
What a beautiful lil boy he was, gorgeous pattern/color as you said. Sometimes nature is MEAN
I also wish you had been there a bit sooner.
Thats why sometimes I do not feel bad taking a couple here and there out of their natural habitat. It may not be idea living in a big tank, or running on a floor with rock piles, but heck they get treat like royality while alive.
The photos were nice Will, just sad!

Yes it's always tragic when you see the basic instincitve nature of wild animals. We being lizard lovers and caretakers always become sad when you see natural predatory behaviour or a territorial fight resulting in the death of a lizard. We all must remember that this is just the nature of the beast as it were.
The natural world is harsh and unforgiving and it is always sad to see how truly harsh and unforgiving it is.
I still remember watching my first nature show as a kid about Orca's and their playing tennis with a pup seal.
So look to those that we take care of and attend to and appreciate our times with them and make sure we have no "senseless" deaths.
