Colour question

Just wondering what you would call this colour. His name is Maroon, because that is my best guess as to his colour when he's fired up. These are day time pictures, and the colour in the pics is pretty accurate. What would call his colour? Part of the red family? Thanks for any opinions.

I would say he is orange, though it does lean a bit more towards red-orange. Very nice looking crested either way.
