White tiny bugs

herbiesmomma May 30, 2006 12:32 AM

While I was cleaning my reptile room, I noticed some white grainy type "dust" on my cricket container. When I went to clean the container I realized these were tiny little bugs.Does anyone know what they are? Are they Mites? I have not found any in,or around my reptile cages.
Thanks,
Cheri

hmm, could be baby crickets or small carrion eating flies

ok i know this is like two months late, but i was reading through the archives and thought i'd add my two cents. springtails are tiny white bugs that live in pretty much all soil and are a good thing to have in terrariums. they clean up poop and mold and all that sutff and dont harm anything. i have dart frogs and they're vitally important to my tanks, so i wouldnt worry too much. as long as they are springtails anyway.
